About the Fragrance
Innuendo was made by Roja Dove as an
“homage to everything feminine: a lingerie drawer, make-up, and a
knowing look.” So if you were to go into this expecting all the
sturm-und-drang of a woman’s dresser before a big night out – spilled
face powder and perfumed soaps rustling in their scented papers - then
you’d be right.
But that’s only half of the story. Innuendo is full of twists
and turns that take you from the jet fuel thrust of rose chypres to
soft, musky body powders and then finally to a sweet, almost soapy tonka
and sandalwood drydown that feels 180 degrees removed from the opening
act.
Innuendo more than lives up to its name. There is something
sexy-- forbidden almost-- about being privy to a woman’s intimate
grooming rituals. Innuendo allows us a peek at it, from the soaping of
flesh to the powdering of the nose and finally, to the generous spraying
of a lush, 80’s-style power chypre dripping with moss, patchouli, and
roses. For those actively looking for something a little old-fashioned
